Acting Workshops Available for 20011/2012 School Year
Workshops are available for grades 2-12 and can be taught either at
your school or in our studio at the Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove
Acting Workshop- Introduction to Acting. This class is very high energy and fun. Students learn basic techniques of acting and participate in theatre games and improvisation.
Monologue Workshop- This class is great for students looking to prepare for auditions. Students will learn how to break down monologues in a way that is easy for them to understand. A great audition begins and ends with an actor’s monologue and this class will give students the tools they need to audition successfully.
Scene Study Workshop-Students are taught how to break down scenes and work with scene partners. Using Meisner techniques students will focus on listening skills as well as re-acting to the choices their scene partner makes.
Commercial Acting Workshop- An introduction to auditioning for commercials. Students will learn the do’s and don’ts of commercial acting. From doing cold reads to reading off a cue card this class will cover the basic tools you need to start a career in commercials.
PRICES ARE FOR ALL WORKSHOPS- Workshops with more than 10 students require an additional instructor. Classes of more than 30 students must be done in more than one session.
Single Session- 10 students or less- $250 10 or more students- $400
Four Sessions- 10 students or less- $950 10 students or more- $1550
